Trips!

I am excited to announce that Shane and I will be having a two person show with
Wally Workman Gallery in the Summer of 2014!
That is not too far away so we need to stop all of this driving around and get to work!

Shane and I have returned from a HUGE road trip. We started our trip by heading to Austin, TX to deliver works to Wally Workman Gallery.  We just love Wally and Rachel! The gallery is beautiful.
If you don't live in Austin you can take a virtual tour.

After a wonderful time in Austin we traveled to Charleston to deliver our paintings for North vs. South, a show at Robert Lange Studio's. Here are the paintings Shane and I made for the show.

We had a fabulous time during the opening reception!

After the show we drove on to visit family in Ohio and Indianapolis.
While in Indianapolis we visited the Indianapolis Museum of art. What a WONDERFUL museum. We saw so many great works! I have included some of our favorites.

Bouguereau

On our way home we stopped for a visit with our friends in St. Louis.

Now that we are home Shane is working on a tank for a new series he is going to start soon.
We had a blast on our trip but are happy to be back in the studio!

Our show in July will be here sooner than we can imagine!

"Whimsy"

Here is "Whimsy" so far...

Our As Seen by Three project is coming along. We have all (Shane, Wesley Young, our writer and dear friend, and I) finished "Loss." I have started working on "Whimsy" and Shane has started working on "Fear." We are planning on eight different human emotions. Wes has written a bit more about our As Seen by Three project on our Enid Creative Collective blog.

Progress

I finished the arm and did a lay in on the hand yesterday. I will post an image later. I am excited for our trip to Japan next week. Shane's brother Chris is getting married and we will be there for 11 days! I have new painting ideas that require Japanese landscapes, so it worked out perfectly!

Progress on my painting and Ben Leroy

I have done some more work on this double person portrait. It is my first layer of paint. I am still going to go over it when I have the other portrait in.

Here is Ben Leroy. We need to varnish it, but the painting is done!

Shane started this painting yesterday. It is a painting for our friend Alicia. He is working on it today, so I will post the progress.

Off to work...

New Painting

I am working on a new painting today. I got my drawing in last week, and now I am ready to do the fun part!
